Major Motorway M7 CCTV Investigation

NUFLOW NORTHWEST SYDNEY
M7 Motorway | XSTREAM Plumbing

PROJECT OVERVIEW

NuFlow was engaged to carry out a CCTV investigation of a 375mm stormwater line connected to a grated side entry pit on the Sunnyholt Road on-ramp of the M7 motorway. Given the high-risk location on a major freeway, safety and traffic management were top priorities. A Traffic Management Attenuator (TMA) was deployed to provide protection while NuFlow’s camera van and tractor CCTV unit captured a detailed internal condition assessment of the stormwater pipeline.

The inspection provided council and road authorities with critical footage to assess the current condition of the line and plan future rehabilitation works.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Working in a high-risk freeway environment with live traffic.
  • Strict requirements for high-visibility PPE and adherence to traffic safety protocols.
  • Coordinating access with traffic management teams to minimize disruption and maximize safety.
  • Delivering a full internal inspection of the 375mm stormwater line to support asset management planning.

THE SOLUTION

NuFlow combined advanced CCTV technology with strict safety protocols to ensure a seamless and safe inspection.

THE RESULTS

NuFlow successfully delivered a safe and efficient CCTV investigation of the 375mm stormwater line under challenging high-traffic conditions. The client received a complete WinCan condition report and video footage, providing clarity on the pipe’s current state and enabling informed decisions on maintenance and potential rehabilitation.

By combining specialist equipment with meticulous traffic safety coordination, NuFlow demonstrated its ability to operate in complex, high-risk environments while delivering accurate and actionable pipeline data.
