Types of Pipe Relining – What does your Property Need?

At Nuflow Ipswich, we’re experts in delivering trenchless pipe relining solutions that are built to last. But did you know that it’s not a case of one-size-fits-all – there are several different types of pipe relining?

Here’s a quick look at the different relining products we use across residential, commercial, and industrial properties – and which one might be right for you.

What Exactly is Pipe Relining?

Pipe relining is a no-dig method of repairing damaged pipes by creating a new, durable lining inside the existing pipe, using existing access points. It restores the pipe’s structure from within – without the need for excavation or costly disruptions.

Utilising advanced CCTV technology, we’ll assess your pipes and drains to identify the specific issue and instal the perfect relining product to solve it, once and for all. We’re so confident in our process and products that you’ll get up to a 50-year warranty on our work!

Pipe Lining Solutions Made to Last

We find the most common problems with residential plumbing tend to be things like cracked sewer pipes, stormwater drains, and water lines.

In commercial settings, pipe relining needs to handle higher usage demands, trade waste, and strict compliance requirements.

Industrial pipe relining is tougher again, as it needs to withstand extreme conditions like high pressure, chemicals, and heavy-duty use – often requiring specialised, reinforced solutions.

We assess case-by-case and our pipe relining solutions may include:

Blueline – The All-Rounder:

Probably our most commonly used relining product, Blueline is a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) solution designed to repair cracked or broken pipes from the inside.

  • Great for: General pipe repairs, stormwater, and sewer systems.
  • Key benefit: Extends pipe life by decades without digging or expensive pipe replacements.

Greenline – Industrial Strength

Also suitable for repairing any type of potable system, Greenline is tough, reliable and built to handle more extreme industrial environments.

  • Great for: Industrial or commercial pipe systems, chemical waste lines.
  • Key benefit: High resistance to pressure and corrosion.

Sumoline – For Big Jobs

When we’re working with large-diameter pipes or high-flow drainage systems, Sumoline is a structural lining solution that gets the job done.

  • Great for: Large stormwater and sewer mains, road and rail infrastructure.
  • Key benefit: Strengthens and stabilises oversized, load-bearing pipes with minimal downtime.

HTAR Lining – For Commercial Trade Waste Pipes

Nuflow is proudly the first in Australia to provide HTAR (High Temperature Acid Resistant) lining – specially designed to handle aggressive trade waste materials like acids, oils, chemicals, and high-temperature liquids.

  • Great for: Restaurants, commercial kitchens, hospitals, and industrial facilities.
  • Key benefit: Highly resistant to chemicals, heat, and abrasion – keeping trade waste pipes protected and compliant with industry regulations.

Pro Line – Custom Solutions

Pro Line harnesses the latest UV fibreglass liner technology, allowing us to more finely engineer it to be flexible for tricky pipe paths – think multiple bends, junctions or changes in diameter.

  • Great for: Complex plumbing networks, corrosion-sensitive trade waste systems.
  • Key benefit: Custom-fitted to suit the unique layout of your system.

Other potential options we may use include:

Brush Coating – The Protective Layer

For some situations CIPP just isn’t possible – for example, in high rise buildings with limited access points on down pipes, pool pipes or junctions. Instead, a brush coating of our Blueline epoxy resin can be applied to the inside of the pipe.

  • Great for: Preventing corrosion or erosion in pipes.
  • Key benefit: Extends pipe life.

Smart Lock – The Precision Fix

Got a localised issue, like a small crack or joint problem? Smart Lock involves placing a stainless-steel sleeve over the damaged area, then expanding and securing it to form a strong, watertight seal. It can even be used to replace a piece of completely deteriorated pipe!

ASOE Pipe-In Liner – Optimal Flexibility

In partnership with ASOE Hose Manufacturing, we can instal this flexible, non-structural liner made from reinforced plastic. It’s folded into a U-shape, inserted into the existing pipe, and expanded to create a leak-proof internal lining.

The common denominator? With all our different types of pipe relining, you enjoy up to 50 years’ warranty, upfront and honest pricing, and minimal destruction to your premises.
